Students from North Sumatra University visit Socfindo Conservation
Students from the University of North Sumatra (USU) engaging into its community service program (KKN), visited Socfindo Conservation. They came to see mushroom collection, orchids, vegetables and other medicinal plants and had learnt about their benefits for health. In addition, they bought seedlings which to be planted in their medicinal garden.

IT DEL Researchers visits Socfindo Conservation
Researchers from Del Institute of Technology (IT DEL) visited Socfindo Conservation. IT DEL is currently developing its own Herbal and Horticultural Science Garden (TSTH2) in the Polung area, Humbang Hasundutan and took the opportunity to compare and exchange their experiences.

Technical guidance in developing the products derived from Butterfly Pea flowers with Dolok Masihul Regency at Socfindo Conservation
Participants from villages in Dolok Masihul Regency took part in technical guidance in developing the products derived from Butterfly Pea flowers (Bunga Telang) at Socfindo Conservation. They were trained to make several Telang products such as Telang rice, Telang ice drinks and Telang pudding.

Socfindo Conservation participates in Indonesia's Tree Planting Day 2022
Socfindo Conservation participated in “Indonesia's Tree Planting Day 2022”. We took part in planting 750 trees at the Simalingkar B Muslim Public Cemetery (TPU) Medan and had supported the programme of Medan City Government by providing trees for this action. The Mayor of Medan, Bobby Nasution, also attended this event.

The women group from Tebing Syahbandar sub-district participated in Technical Guidance for Garden Design at Socfindo Conservation. This activity aims to increase community knowledge about how to design gardens in their village.

The Indonesian Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS) visited Socfindo Conservation
A group of 6 people from BPDPKS visited Socfindo Conservation and had seen our medicinal plant collection. They tried “Telang ice drinks” and had bought some packed dried butterfly pea flowers as gifts.
