Plants exploration by Socfindo Conservation team in Tapanuli Selatan Regency
The Socfindo Conservation team conducted plant exploration in Sipirok and Pahae. As many as 50 plants have been collected during exploration activities, to be conserved ex situ in Socfindo Conservation Garden. Currently, there are 1500 types of plants planted in the Socfindo Conservation Garden.

The Socfindo Conservation team visits Tapanuli Selatan
As a follow-up to the collaboration between Socfindo Conservation and South Tapanuli Regency in the family food security program, the Socfindo Conservation Team visited Muara Purba Nauli village in South Tapanuli. All villages in South Tapanuli have received medicinal plant seedlings from Socfindo Conservation. The South Tapanuli Regent and Head of PKK (Family Welfare Program) were present for initial planting of medicinal plants together with Socfindo Conservation team. In addition, the Socfindo Conservation team also held training on making healthy noodles and “telang” drinks.

The Director of State Plantation Company (PTPN) VI visits Socfindo Conservation
The Director of PTPN VI, Mr Iswan Achir and his wife, Mrs Nana Iswan Achir, heading the PTPN VI ladies association, accompanied by Prof. dr. Amri Amir, Sp.Akup, visited Socfindo Conservation and learned about the plants in general. They were inspired by Socfindo Conservation concept and discussed similar potential projects for PTPN VI.

The official opening of the Serdang Bedagai Medicinal Garden
Serdang Bedagai Regency, in collaboration with Socfindo Conservation, has completed the development of their own medicinal garden in Serdang Bedagai. The medicinal garden was officially inaugurated by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Harvick Hasnul Qolbi. Socfindo Conservation featured as a guest and presented various products, such as jamu and telang drinks.

Students from Haji University visits Socfindo Conservation
A total of 155 participants from Haji University of North Sumatra visited Socfindo Conservation. They came to see the collection of mushrooms, orchids, vegetables and other medicinal plants and learn about their benefits for health.

Socfindo Conservation collaborates with the regional program “Family Food Security Program in Tapanuli Selatan”
Socfindo Conservation and Tapanuli Selatan Regency’s Family Food Security Program, around 13000 out of a planned total of more than 50.000 medicinal plants were recently distributed to a total of 211 villages. These plants are being produced at the Socfindo Conservation nursery, which relentlessly rejuvenates and multiplies its collection and stock. The 400 women involved in this project have received training from Socfindo Conservation.
