Community services project between Socfindo Conservation Foundation with ASPETRI (Indonesian Traditional Herb Medicine Association)
Mrs. Luluk Williams, Head of Socfindo Conservation Foundation, held a meeting with Mr. Harryjun, chairman of ASPETRI (Indonesian Traditional Herb Medicine Association) and Mrs. Maulida from Technical Service Unit of the Ornamental Plants Parent Seed and Biopharmaceuticals to discuss the potential for collaboration between the two organisations, towards community development programs.

Plants Preparation for Tapanuli Selatan by Socfindo Conservation Team
Tapanuli Selatan Regency Government and Socfindo Conservation collaborate on the theme of “ family food security”. Our team has been involved in skill and knowledge through various workshops held in Bangun Bandar and is also providing plants for the development of their medicinal garden. To this end, a staggering 50.750 plants are being prepared to be sent to jump start this project.

A total of 50 participants from Medan Area University visited Socfindo Conservation. They came to see the collection of mushrooms, orchids, vegetables and other medicinal plants and learn about their benefits for health.

Homemade jam by Socfindo Conservation
Socfindo Conservation is happy to share the one of its recent project: the home making of various jam by Socfindo Ladies Association together with members of the local community. The flavours currently available are Pinapple and Kumquat Lemon Jam, Pinapple and Passion Fruit Jam and Tamarillo Jam. These jams are made with natural ingredients and feature only the finest quality fruit without artificial colouring preservatives.

Bangun Insan Mandiri Senior High School visits Socfindo Conservation
Students from Bangun Insan Mandiri Senior High School visited Socfindo Conservation. Not only have they come to learn about our plants collection but they also took part in a Jamu (Indonesian traditional herbal medicine) and eco-enzyme workshop with the Socfindo Conservation team.

Members of the Consortium Study on Smallholder Palm Oil (CSSPO) visited Socfindo Conservation
Members of the CSSPO visited Socfindo Conservation to see the collection of plants and had the opportunity to enjoy dishes made from fresh ingredients from Socfindo Conservation's organic gardens.
