The Socfindo Conservation team promotes SMEs products through “kampung baazar” in Bangun Bandar
Socfindo held its Annual Sports Event in Bangun Bandar, participated by the staff from all Socfindo estates. The Socfindo Ladies Association (KISS) also held a bazaar at the event and various SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) products from around Bangun Bandar estate were sold. There were many types of products displayed, such as handcraft, food, including the jamu products from Socfindo Conservation Medicinal Garden.

VISIT
A visit from Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) of Indonesia, Mr Teten Masduki and his team to Socfindo Conservation
We were honoured to receive the visit of Mr Teten Masduki, Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Republic of Indonesia. He came with Regent of Serdang Bedagai, Mr Darma Wijaya to see the plant collection. They were happy to find out that all the information they saw in the garden was compiled into a book.

Socfindo Conservation participates in the bazaar of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises in Serdang Bedagai Regency
Serdang Bedagai Regency received a visit from the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs in the context of reviewing oil palm plantation and dialogue with cooperative members. Socfindo Conservation’s Herbal Garden team participated in this event and had the opportunity to present various products made from processed spices, directly grown and sourced from its own collection of herbal plants.

A total of 6 representatives from “PT Akar Rimba” visited Socfindo Conservation to see the collection of mushrooms, orchids, vegetables and other medicinal plants and learn about their benefits for health.

Alumni of the Agriculture Faculty class 1994 from the University of North Sumatra (FP-USU) visited Socfindo Conservation
FP-USU alumni and their families visited Socfindo Conservation to see the collection of plants and had the opportunity to enjoy dishes made from fresh ingredients from Socfindo Conservation's organic gardens.

Ladies from South Tapanuli attend a training seminar organized by Socfindo Conservation in their Herbal Garden in Bangun Bandar
A Family Welfare Programme (PKK) of South Tapanuli Regency attended training at Socfindo Conservation. It is a South Tapanuli Regency Government Programme regarding family food security. Therefore, a group of 82 participants from 40 villages in South Tapanuli attended a three-day training seminar. Mrs Luluk Williams was there to open this event. Each participant was given a Workshop Booklet which contains all the training modules that help participants understand the subject. In addition to the theory, field practice was also carried out so that in the future, participants can easily follow and apply it.
